When do you prune rhododendrons ?

Usually you prune them shortly after they bloom, or at the latest, by October time frame. If you prune too late, you'll cut off the blooms that have set for the next spring.

good luck

When do you prune rhododendrons ?
Right after they bloom is the best time. You can prune them later, but you will lose some of next years blossoms.
Reply:Always in the fall,,, this is for all trees, shrubs,ect.... when they are dormant,(sleeping)
Reply:Right after the bloom, so you won't miss next year's flowers. If you trim in fall, you will cut the flower buds for next year.
